Sherry
contracted Epstein Barr virus as a young woman. Unlike
the usual, fairly benign course of infectious mononucleosis,
Sherry developed a much more severe form of infection,
which left her bedridden. She died in March, 1991 of complications
of her disease.
She
had worked as a flight attendant for Texas International
and at University State Bank before her illness disabled
her.
