Jerry Byrd

Jerry Byrd passed away on Monday, July 31, 2000.

Jerry played trumpet in the school’s inaugural stage band. He attended Abilene Christian College and was a member of the “Big Purple” marching band. He completed college at Texas Christian University, receiving both a bachelor’s and master’s degree.

He worked at LTV and then in the bursar’s office at TCU. In the early 70’s he moved to General Dynamics (now Lockheed), where he was employed as a cost analyst, receiving a 25-year recognition award.

Jerry was an active lifetime member of West Berry Church of Christ in Fort Worth.
